After bustling and lively Tokyo, I stayed with an older couple in a small and quiet town in Yokohama.
I slept in their Tatami room and right outside was their beautiful garden in which they grew many delicious vegetables. Every morning and evening Hiseo-san and I fed the birds and fish in her garden.

Everyday Hiseo-san made fresh food with fresh vegetables

Fish swimming.

Everyday the Mountain Dove came to visit me.

Delicious meals morning, noon and evening.

I decided to visit downtown Yokohama

Saw Noh theater and met with actors in after party. Noh is very impressive! Actors become "possessed" by spirits when crossing the bridge to begin performing and it clearly shows. Unfortunately, Noh is mostly popular among older generations and has been performed since the 14th century with the same family lineages.
My most favorite time with Hiseo and Tateo was going firefly viewing. At dusk many people gathered to the local park and waited for the fireflies to begin lighting. It is a big deal! I didn't take any photos because I really wanted to cherish and live in the moment.
It was very hard for me to say good-bye but I know I will see them again soon.
