Medoruma Shun 目取真 俊

Hi everyone,

I wanted to share knowledge of a man who has written great works on Okinawa.

I've been reading short stories by Medoruma Shun. Medoruma won the Akutagawa prize in 1997 for "Droplets" (水滴). Shun's work is both fictional and realistic. Medoruma has been actively protesting against the U.S. bases from his kayak and once taught at my mother's high school. Although not all of his works are translated into English, I would reccomend finding the ones that are and read them if you can.
